Field Service Engineer

Requirements are as follows:

- Candidates must be detail oriented, organized, and have good time management skills.

Field Service Engineer candidates should have the following qualifications:

  • Windows NT4 server / Windows 2000 server / Windows 2003 server experience. This includes knowledge of installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Windows 2000/2003 Active Directory experience. This includes knowledge of implementing new directory structures, troubleshooting existing directory issues, experience with Group Policies, and rights delegation
  • Email systems – Exchange 2000 / Exchange 2003 server experience. This includes knowledge of installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Experience with network protocols and services (TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, DHCP, DNS, WINS)
  • Server / Network backup – experience with configuring and managing backup jobs across single and multi-server environments. Experience with Backup Exec, Arcserve, and NT Backup are a must.
  • Disaster Recovery – knowledge of disaster recovery procedures and implementation
  • Windows 2000 Professional / Windows XP experience - This includes knowledge of installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and migrations (spyware/virus removal, driver installation and troubleshooting)
  • Network Infrastructure experience – knowledge of switches, cabling, and general infrastructure configuration
  • Experience with Citrix Metaframe a plus
  • Knowledge of routers and firewalls a plus
  • Certifications a plus
  • Technician must have their own reliable vehicle
